Hey all, more scrappy news to share!
This week I'm the guest designer at Color Combos Galore. The concept is simple: create a layout with the selected combo! Janet asked me to pick two colors (I chose orange and burgundy-ish) and then she provided me with several great color combos. It was really hard to choose, but this is the one I was drawn to:

I just took these photos last week....how's that for turnaround time? Couldn't wait to scrap these photos of Grandma and Sadie. I have so few photos of the two of them. Mostly because Grandma lives far away, but also because neither one of them is ever sitting still. Must be genetic.
Scrappy details: I embossed the pink paper with my Swiss Dots folder in the Cuttlebug (I've really got to buy myself another embossing folder or two. Variety would be ok, right?), and I stamped the orange paper with flourishes from the Thank You Flourishes set by Hero Arts. Another favorite of mine from the 2009 catalog.
Those stickpins are from the Making Memories Love Notes collection. I love those cute little designer stickpins. I think I need more. Especially now that I used up all the ones with pink hearts.

this is a gorgeous layout mary! beautiful color combo you ended up with. love the stick pins too. neat seeing the metal phrase .. i have tons of those laying around. and can i say you look just like your mom!

Awww those photos are just precious! What a beautiful layout! And I must admit I have a thing for those little stick pins as well. Joanns carries a package that has the heart shapes in all different colors.

I never would have picked those colors togeher but man! Mary this is BEAUTIFUL!!!! Love it & all the details! Sounds like you need some retail therapy to relieve your swiss dots blues! LOL!! The Devine swirl is nice too!
